Adaptive, data-driven rehabilitation systems integrating robotics, AI, and neurotechnology to personalise therapy and optimise recovery outcomes in real time.
Research, innovation and translation for real-world clinical impact.
From lab-based discovery to scalable implementation, our work connects evidence, engineering and end users.
Expert hardware solutions for rehabilitation
Revolutionary software for neurological rehabilitation
Advanced AI and machine learning for rehabilitation
The Rehab45 Lab develops intelligent rehabilitation technologies for people with neurological conditions. We combine robotics, AI, biomechanics, brain-computer interfaces, virtual reality, and digital twins with human-centred values, working alongside patients and clinicians.
20+
Years of Experience
An overview of rehabilitation technologies developed in the Rehab45 Lab.
Adaptive, data-driven rehabilitation systems integrating robotics, AI, and neurotechnology to personalise therapy and optimise recovery outcomes in real time.
Decoding neural signals to drive rehabilitation, enhance neuroplasticity, and enable new forms of interaction for individuals with neurological conditions.
Virtual reality, augmented reality, and serious games that create engaging, motivating environments to accelerate motor learning in clinic and at home.
Wearable and multi-modal sensing technologies that provide continuous, objective measurement of movement, behaviour, and recovery outside clinical settings.
Integrated platforms linking clinic, home, and community to deliver scalable, remote, and hybrid rehabilitation services with seamless data flow.
Co-designed, clinically validated technologies that are scalable, cost-effective, and embedded into healthcare systems to improve access and reduce inequalities.
Our name reflects our philosophy. Rehabilitation 4.0 provides the technological foundation: intelligent systems, connected care, data-driven personalisation. Rehabilitation 5.0 provides the guiding purpose, technology that is developed with people, that strengthens healthcare systems, and that reaches those who need it most. Our research treats these as integrated, not sequential.
We develop rehabilitation technologies that are scientifically rigorous, clinically viable, and designed for the real world. Our work spans the full translational pipeline:
The Rehab45 Lab is an early-stage research group with an established foundation: over 20 years of experience in rehabilitation technologies, now focused on building a team and programme of work that can shift how neurorehabilitation is delivered. We are actively recruiting researchers, seeking collaborators, and developing partnerships with industry and the NHS.
If you share our commitment to rehabilitation technology that is rigorous, practical, and equitable, we would like to hear from you.
